Meet Heartfelt Moments

Welcome back to the second of our VIP introductions. Today we’re introducing you to the lovely Sophia Best of Heartfelt Moments.

What is the name of your business, and what does it stand for?
Heartfelt Moments. I create bespoke ceremonies that honour life’s most meaningful milestones, from funerals and celebrations of life to weddings and vow renewals. My work centres on compassion, authenticity, and storytelling that captures the true essence of each person.

When was your business founded?
Heartfelt Moments was launched in 2023, following years of personal experience, professional training, and a growing sense of purpose around supporting people through life’s most significant moments.

What products or services do you offer?
I offer funeral ceremonies, memorials, celebration of life services, weddings, vow renewals, naming ceremonies, and grief support as a qualified EDU-Therapy Specialist. I also run Coffin Club North Wiltshire community sessions, which help people talk openly about death and plan ahead with confidence.

What problem does your business solve for customers?
I help people feel seen, supported, and understood during times that are often emotional or overwhelming. Whether someone is grieving, celebrating love, or navigating change, I offer clarity, calm, and beautifully written ceremonies that feel personal and meaningful.

What makes your business unique or different from competitors?
I bring together professional training, lived experience, and a strong intuitive understanding of people. Every ceremony I create is completely bespoke, with no templates or generic wording. I take time to truly understand each family or couple. Through EDU-Therapy, I can also support people in a different way by teaching them how to resolve grief and emotional pain, not only related to bereavement.

What was the biggest challenge you faced when starting out?
Building confidence in a completely new career while learning how to run a business. I had to develop my craft, trust my instincts, and become visible, all while balancing family life and the emotional weight of the work.

What do you consider your biggest success so far?
The trust families place in me. When someone says, “You captured them perfectly,” or “You made today easier,” it feels like the greatest success. Becoming an EDU-Therapy Specialist has also been a significant milestone, allowing me to support people through grief and emotional loss in a new way.

What is your vision for the business?
To create a compassionate hub where people can talk openly about death, grief, love, and change through ceremonies, community education, and therapeutic support. I want Heartfelt Moments to be known for its humanity, warmth, and truly meaningful storytelling.

Who has influenced your entrepreneurial journey?
The families I have worked with, who remind me every day why this work matters. My mentors in the celebrant world, and the EDU-Therapy community who are helping me shape my therapeutic approach. My husband Paul has also been a huge influence, as his support gives me the space to help others.

Who is your ideal customer?
People who want choice and a ceremony that feels unique, personal, and rooted in genuine care. This includes families arranging funerals, couples planning weddings, and individuals seeking help to heal emotional pain through a structured course.

What is the main need or pain point your customers have?
They are experiencing a major life transition and need clarity, emotional support, and someone to walk alongside them with compassion and confidence.

What locations or communities do you serve?
Based in Royal Wootton Bassett, I serve Wiltshire and the surrounding areas across the South West, and I am happy to travel wherever my clients need me. I also work remotely with EDU-Therapy clients across the UK and internationally.

Why have you chosen to exhibit at The Care Show?
Care professionals are often on the frontline of loss, bereavement, and major life transitions. I want to offer support, collaboration, and resources that can help them in the vital work they do.

What core values drive your business?
Empathy, professionalism, trust, authenticity, and thoughtful communication guide everything I do, always with kindness and compassion.

What do you want your customers to feel when working with you?
At ease, listened to, understood, and supported, as though they are in safe hands during a very emotional or important moment.

What principles guide the way you work?
Humanity always comes first. Every story matters. There are no assumptions, no rushing, and no judgement. I give people time, clarity, and the space to express what matters most.

What is the most common feedback you receive from customers?
People often say that I “captured them perfectly,” “made a difficult day easier,” and “felt like part of the family.” Many comment on the warmth and detail in my writing, as well as the kindness and care I show. Clients regularly say they felt fully supported throughout our time together.
